AR Kit
Back in 2016 I worked on a concept animatic to communicate the planed features and possibilities of Apple’s ARKit. In June 2017 Apple released the ARKit API tool for developers working on virtual reality and augmented reality applications. The ARKit Tool is designed to accurately map the surrounding using SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping). Moreover, to create augmented reality experiences users don’t need any external equipment. With ARKit developers could build now unparalleled augmented reality experiences for hundreds of millions of users on iOS and iPadOS, the biggest AR platforms in the world.
