UX Concept and UI Design for “About Eucerin”

In Q4 2021, I was booked by the international agency Wunderman Thompson for the brand Eucerin (part of Beiersdorf) the role of UXUI designer via Malt.

The aim of the project was to redesign the "About Eucerin" section and to design new UI elements with regard to the existing corporate identity. Comprehensive UX research, best practice patterns and my wealth of experience were the foundation.

Tasks:

  • Conceptually revise “About Ecerin”.
  • Plan sitemap
  • Create UX wireframes
  • Design new UI elements
Applied Skills:

  • Holistic planning
  • UX Research
  • UX Design
  • UI Design
  • Interface competence in communication with customer steakholders and external developers

Tools used:

  • Miro
  • Sketch
  • Zeplin
  • Confluence for communication with developers and other project participants

Step 1: Logically standardize the header structure (”Quick Win”)

Step 2: “About Eucerin” landing page

UI Design für "About Eucerin"
  • Bietet eine angenehme Einleitung
  • Is logically and visually structured
  • Leads to the sub-areas

Step 3: Subpage “Brand Mission”

  1. Assessment of the existing content
  2. Selection
  3. Logical structuring
  4. Appealing design

Step 4: Subpage “Our Ingredients”

This subpage was about providing comprehensive information without being confusing or boring.
For me as a UX designer, that means evaluating tables, delving into complex topics, analysing, prioritizing and much more.

I offered several design solutions both on a conceptual and on a developed interface design level.

Step 5: “History” subpage

How can the company history be presented well and entertainingly on the website? I found a reasonable solution for this as well. In concept sketches and in final UI designs.

Conclusion:

Even if it is only a matter of redesigning a part of a website, this is a highly complex task. In an international company in particular, it is important to hear and take into account many steakholder requests. My structured way of working and my experience has helped me to offer meaningful design solutions that have a positive impact on the user experience.
