"Learn to sleep cleverly" is aimed at young people from 12 to 14 years of age. It helps them sleep better and consciously control their media consumption. Bonus pages following the story offer psychological and scientific sleep tips including a sleep diary to fill out.
The project "School health promotion on the subject of sleep and health" was initiated in 2020 by the Austrian Health Insurance Fund. For this purpose, "Learn to Sleep Cleverly" was written by Assoz. Prof. Dr. Kerstin Hödlmoser (clinical psychologist and sleep researcher at the University of Salzburg) and Mag. Sigrun Eder (clinical psychologist and therapist at the child and adolescent psychiatry in Salzburg).

Sleep is the most important turbo for your brain. This book will make you even smarter by getting a good night's sleep! The secret to more creative power during the day can be found in a place that very few of us have ever seen: the sleep laboratory. There is scientific research into what constitutes excellent sleep.
Are you curious about how you can improve your sleep? Then follow Juli and Tommy to the sleep laboratory. Actigraph, REM, blue light filter: This book is all about the underestimated power of the nocturnal rest phases. If you manage to optimize it for yourself, you will feel a strength within you that you have never known. This is available to you every day completely free of charge and makes you a high-flyer.
With the help of the sleep psychology bonus pages, you can create your own personal needs hit list in terms of sleep. In this way you will find out in no time what you need for perfect sleep.

There is a lot of knowledge in this: Kerstin is a scientist. She measures the brain activity of sleeping people in the sleep laboratory at the University of Salzburg. Sigrun is a clinical psychologist at the University Hospital Salzburg. She helps children and young people to get rid of their worries and problems. Andreas is an illustrator and created the fantastic world of images for this book.
